1st Annual Juried Exhibition: Activist Art : Art + Message + Solution 1st Prize: The David Award & $1000 Sozo Institute of the Arts is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Juried Exhibition for The David Award. Designed after Michelangelo's David, and named after King David himself, The David Award is given to that artist utilizing his/her vision, talent and skill to bring about creative solutions. Jurors: Lonnie Graham, Professor of Art, Pennsylvania State University & B. Perry Babb, Director, Global Strategic Alliance. Exhibition criteria: Artistic Excellence & Craft - How well, in form, was the work produced? Content & Meaning - What is the story & vision behind the work? The Solution - What is the need being met, and how does the artwork creatively meet that need. Deadline: March 15th, 2010 |
